Diamond Peak Studio in Oakridge, Oregon has produced some of the greatest pop music records of all time. Throughout 2019, five bands visit the studio to record their next albums, and their styles of music (ranging from bubblegum pop, to pop punk, to dream pop) are as different as their interpersonal struggles. And at Diamond Peak, the microphones never stop recording – capturing everything from guitar riffs and vocal runs, to bold confessions and sudden breakdowns. The Diamond Peak Studio Sessions chronicles the pressure, joy, and intimacy of creation – and examines how, for these bands, music and lyrics are only half the story.
